Masoabi Sefojane founded Portfolio Creative and leads it as art director. Over more than 15 years across Africa and Asia, he has built his career on a single conviction: that good design isn't just what you see, but what you feel, remember and trust.
His work joins two things that rarely sit together, artistic craft and analytical thinking. Trained in graphic and interface design, he pairs a designer's eye with a strategist's discipline, sharpened by a Higher Certificate in Management Development (cum laude) from the University of the Free State Business School and a Certificate in Business and Information Technology, completed with distinction and national top-10 recognition. He is currently completing a BA in Creative Brand Communication at the AAA School of Advertising.
Under his direction, the studio has shaped work for some of the world's most recognisable brands Stellenbosch FC, SASOL, FIFA, Rexona, OMO and Unilever — alongside founders and growing businesses like Ambani Africa, Phoka Coffee, Malaí and Motheo TVET College. Whatever the scale, his aim stays the same: to help brands connect with their audiences through storytelling you can see and feel.
Beyond the studio, Masoabi advocates for people living with bleeding disorders. He chairs the board of the South African Haemophilia Foundation, having previously served as the first chairperson of its Youth Council and on the executive of Haemophilia Youth of Africa, leadership that reflects the same belief he brings to design: that the right work, done with care, can change how people experience the world.
